I just saw this here, and I have to say these are pretty dope for sure..

The first solo show of self-described junk art sculptor Gabriel Dishaw, “(Not So) New Shoes” consists of (7) new pairs of artistically licensed 1:1 scale reproductions of collectible Nike sneakers made out of recycled computer parts, electronics, found metals, and other upcycled materials. Each pair is matched to a vintage piece of luggage that Dishaw retrofits into a custom labeled shoebox used to secure the shoes for travel and display.

From now until the end of May 360SEE will serve as a depository for old laptops, personal computers, typewriters, and other electronic components for Gabriel Dishaw to use in future sculptures. All materials deposited that are not useable by Dishaw will be properly recycled to keep as many harmful and toxic materials out of our landfills.

In addition to Dishaw’s sculptural sneakers he has also designed (3) custom wearable designs of the classic Nike shoe the Air Force One. The “Air Force One (Wired)” in GreenOrange, and Copper are available in a made-to-order limited edition of (5) pairs per design.

All of the proceeds from Dishaw’s customized Air Force One shoes will be donated to the Earth Day Network. These limited edition sneakers will be available, while supplies last, 4.16.10 – 04.22.10 at St. Alfred sneaker boutique and 4.23.10 – 5.31.10 at 360SEE.

As part of a multi-style release, some of Hannes Wettstein’s last bit of work has surfaced in the following Ventura v-tec Kappa. The heralded Swiss industrial designer faced an untimely passing in 2008 but his legacy lives on with this minimalistic yet bold design with the v-tec Kappa. Beyond the clean face of the watch itself, a Titanox casing is produced with titanium parts subjected to extreme heat under a vacuum which is then cooled with liquid nitrogen. The watch and its three versions will release later this summer with a suggested retail price of €920 EUR (approximately $1,236 USD).

I agree with limited Hype on this one, this 150 year anniversary Tag Heuer Carrera Calibre watch this is an amazingly clean and beautiful design.  And for around $4000 its not that bad of a deal for one of the Top Brands in the Luxury watch business.

Introduced during this years’ BASELWORLD tradeshow, and in celebration of Tag Heuer’s 150th year anniversary, the new Carrera Calibre 1887 Chronograph timepiece is a brilliant example of why the Swiss brand is among the premier luxury watchmakers in the world. The watch features a historic technological revolution, the oscillating pinion mechanism first developed and patented by Edouard Heuer in 1887, which remains a key component in high-end Swiss watches today. Technological innovations aside (and there are many), the main attraction of the Carrera Calibre 1887 is its timeless, yet stunning elegance. With clean, fluid lines and a stainless bracelet or alligator strap, the dial features a robust array of counters encased in a surgical-grade steel body. Flip it over and you’ll gasp over the exceptional intricacies of the movement viewable through the scratch-resistant caseback. Perhaps without the stigma attached to a Rolex, or the rugged utilitarian functionality of an Omega Seamaster, its uncompromising beauty sets it apart from all the rest.

Available soon in Canada & the U.S. for $3900.

Some of the best advice in the world is spread via quotes. For example: when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. There’s a lot of wisdom in this simple sentence. A lot of designers use these kind of quotes as a source of inspiration. These quotes become even better when you illustrate them in the form of typography. Here are 20 inspirational typographic quotes for your inspiration!

Have a great day everyone. Thanks to THE ROXOR

Ok I found this post on limited Hype and instantly loved the watch.  After checking the post I was amazed to find out that is more then just a watch.  And free..

Together with Swiss watchmaker Jaegar-LeCoultre and after 18 months of arduous research and development, Aston Martin has released the AMVOX2 Rapide Transponder, the first mechanical watch developed with the ability to control access into a luxury sports car. Clearly, a step towards futuristic utopia.

The engineering on this timepiece is stunning: a miniature transmitter system integrated within the watch, serving to lock and unlock either the Aston Martin Rapide or the Aston Martin DBS, while maintaining the functions of a pushpiece-free chronograph. When approaching the car, the driver simply has to touch the OPEN position on the watch glass, between 8 and 9 o’clock, to activate the door-opening system, or press CLOSE positioned between 3 and 4 o’clock to lock. Simultaneously pressing both activates the“find me” function: the headlamps light up for several seconds, without unlocking the car, so as to enable the owner to find the car at a glance. Technological advancements aside, this watch is an absolute beauty. The two-tone casing is entirely made of satin-brushed 18-carat pink gold and brushed grade 5 titanium, which contrasts brilliantly with the black face and leather strap. It is masculine yet elegant, and perfectly captures the awe-inspiring feeling of driving an Aston-Martin. To sum up in three words: we want one. The AMVOX2 Rapide Transponder is issued exclusively for Aston Martin owners.

I have to say the interior is fantastic.. A huge storage space for a high end sports care and the duel cockpit styling is just beautiful.

I absolutely love the packaging ideas here and for a Canadian the Tuque is dope as well.  Congrats to the designers and limited hype for the post.

Best Made Co. was founded by designer and author Peter Buchanan-Smith, and outdoorsman and environmental entrepreneur Graeme Cameron to create the finest, most beautifully hand-crafted axes. Buchanan-Smith, a Grammy award winning designer and author who has created designs for Wilco, Philip Glass, Brian Eno, David Byrne, Paper Magazine, The New York Times, and Isaac Mizrahi among others. You may have already spotted their axes that double as works of art on the November/December issue of I.D. Magazine.

Best Made Co.’s first foray into apparel doesn’t stray far from their roots firmly planted in the great outdoors. A favorite among lumberjacks and hipsters alike, The Red Cap of Courage just may be our favorite hat of the season, made of 100% cashmere. Believe us when we say, everything has been considered, right down to the packaging. It comes delivered in a small, hand-made spruce and cedar crate, wrapped in a hand-stamped paper and secured with red cashmere string. Best of all, the small non-descript logo provides a subtle touch of color and is embroidered in a way that reminds us of the Cub Scout badges we worked hard to earn back in the day. We believe this article fulfills the requirement for our Computer Badge.
